About PE Series
Electric Diaphragm Pump
Why Is It Preferred?
Electric diaphragm pumps (PE Series) combine the reliable diaphragm operating principle of pneumatic AODD pumps with an electric motor, offering a solution that does not require an air compressor. The PE 20 (3 kW, 250 lpm) and PE 30 (4 kW, 500 lpm) models, which can be connected directly to a 380V 50Hz power supply, provide the opportunity to continue using diaphragm pump technology in facilities without compressor infrastructure, in fields where the compressor is to be removed, and in applications where operating costs are under pressure.
Compressor operating costs occupy a noticeable place in the facility's total energy expenses. An air compressor; motor consumption, maintenance costs, oil and filter changes, dry cooling or aftercooler and pipeline pressure losses combined effect increases the actual unit energy cost. The PE Series eliminates this layered cost; the energy converted directly from the electric motor to mechanical movement operates the pump's diaphragm. Its constant speed and constant flow characteristics provide a regular and predictable flow profile in line filling requiring process control, chemical dosing supply lines and transfer applications expecting uniform flow.
The PE Series' dry-run resistance is maintained at the same level as its air-driven sister series; when there is no fluid, the motor remains unloaded and the diaphragm remains in standby without damage. The polypropylene-bodied PE 20 offers broad chemical resistance for the chemistry and paint-coating sectors, while the aluminum-bodied PE 30 is suitable for wastewater, petrochemical, and mining applications requiring mechanical strength and higher flow rates. The elastomer option offers two different chemical compatibility classes as Santoprene and Neoprene; the correct selection based on application directly affects maintenance intervals and diaphragm life.
