Sandpiper S05B2P2TPBS000 Compatible 1/2″ Polypropylene Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump

This is a double-diaphragm transfer pump operated by compressed air. The air valve drives the two diaphragms alternately; since one diaphragm is sucking while the other is discharging, the flow exhibits a continuous yet pulsating character. The absence of a mechanical seal and an electric motor limits the number of wear-prone parts and reduces maintenance to the periodic replacement of the diaphragms and valve assembly. The pump is self-priming; it will not be damaged when run dry in applications carrying a risk of running dry—such as tank bottom suction and drum emptying—and will refill automatically when fluid is present. When the discharge line is shut off, the pump slows down and stops until pressure is equalized; when the line is opened, it resumes operation. This behavior eliminates the need for additional control equipment in intermittent filling applications. The product is manufactured in dimensions that allow for a direct replacement of existing pumps with the same configuration code.
