ARO 6662A3-344-C Compatible 2″ Polypropylene Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump, with End Flanges

This is a double-diaphragm transfer pump operated by compressed air. The air valve alternately drives the two diaphragms to transfer the fluid from the suction line to the discharge line. Thanks to its positive displacement operating principle, the flow rate remains more stable than that of centrifugal pumps, even with viscous fluids and under varying backpressure conditions. Since it has no mechanical seals or electric motor, the number of wear-prone parts is limited; maintenance is reduced to the periodic replacement of the diaphragms and valve assembly. Thanks to its self-priming design, the pump is not damaged when run dry in applications carrying a risk of running dry, such as tank bottom suction and drum emptying. Flow rate is continuously adjustable via the air supply pressure; when the discharge line is shut off, the pump slows down and stops until pressure is balanced, and restarts when the line is opened. The product is manufactured in dimensions that allow for a direct replacement of existing pumps with the same configuration code.
