Graco Husky 1050 649384 Compatible 1″ PVDF Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump, PTFE

This is the configuration of the 1050 Series air-operated double-diaphragm pump featuring PVDF housings and PTFE diaphragms. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers significantly higher temperature tolerance and mechanical strength compared to polypropylene, while maintaining resistance to concentrated acids, halogenated compounds, and oxidizing chemicals; and is therefore preferred in intermediate conditions where polypropylene is insufficient but a metal housing would corrode. The PTFE ball and PTFE diaphragm ensure fluorine-based material integrity throughout the entire fluid path, maximizing chemical compatibility in aggressive process fluids. This configuration is used specifically in surface treatment baths, halogenated solvent lines, and chemical transfers requiring high purity. Due to the rigid structure of the PTFE diaphragm, the use of appropriate installation tools during assembly and the gradual increase of operating pressure directly affect the diaphragm’s service life.
